Fort Montego

Fort Montego
Across from Walter Fletcher Beach are remnants of the Old Fort, a fort that the British troops used to guard Montego Bay from French and Spanish pirates looking to invade the city.
Not much is left of this historic fort besides the cannons that are said to have only been fired a few times. Yet, the craft markets here hold a distinct appeal for tourists who are seeking a unique experience while shopping for souvenirs and striking up conversation with the vendors.
