There are multiple modes of transportation available on an island as large as Jamaica. The island has two major international airports. It is also home to four aerodromes which accommodate domestic or intra island flights or shuttles to anyone looking to save time, avoid on-ground traffic or just enjoy the great aerial views of Jamaica. The four aerodromes located in Negril, Ocho Rios, Port Antonio and Kingston are serviced by airlines such as InterCaribbean Airways, International AirLink and TimAir. InterCaribbean Airways – Scheduled flights are available daily between Kingston and Montego Bay. This service connects passenger to the two international airport in both cities. Each route lasts for 35 minutes and reservations can be made through their website www.intercaribbean.com or by calling (800)-572-7628 in Jamaica or (888)-957-3323 from the US/Canada.
International Airlink – AirLink Express is the only airline that provides scheduled flights between the town of Negril and Montego Bay at only US$140 per person. There are currently 20 flights in total operating between the two destinations. AirLink also offers international and domestic chartered flights on request. Another option is to charter a helicopter for a more panoramic aerial view of the island. Captain John’s Island Hopper and Jamaica Customized Vacations and Services are two companies which offer helicopter tours and transfers.
