The laid-back vibe of Negril calls to the bohemian in you and, while we know you’ll be spending your days laying lazily on the white sand beaches, the cool nights swaying to the sounds of rhythmic reggae played live is the perfect way to end each day. While most Saturday nights will give anyone their pick of a place to enjoy live reggae music, possibly including where you are staying, there are three regular spots you can probably be assured to catch some great music in Negril almost any night of the week.
Alfred’s Ocean Palace
Tuesdays, Fridays and Sunday evenings you can enjoy a great meal or just grab a drink while you kick back and listen to a variety of live reggae and rockers played at this local hangout on the beach. A favourite for both visitors and locals alike, it will begin to feel like your hangout in no time.
Head to this beachside bar on a Wednesday night for some great live music as local bands play covers of well-known classics as well as their own songs. With reasonably priced drinks you can just sit and listen or dance ‘til midnight on the sands.
There’s always something happening in the evenings at Bourbon Beach for you to enjoy but it’s always a guaranteed great way to end your Monday evenings to a reggae beat.
