Botanical gardens and a recently renovated zoo sits on an expansive property in Kingston, offering an ideal excursion for the entire family. Enjoy bird feeding, strolling with an ice-cream cone, picnic-ing, snapping pictures by the Lilly pond and playing with the mischievous monkeys.
A short boat ride out of Port Royal takes you to a stunningly beautiful sandbar with vegetation and shade off the island’s coast, ideal for swimming and sunbathing.

Seafood at Gloria’s
This longstanding seafood restaurant in Port Royal is a favourite with locals. Try the steamed fish with bammy or the garlic lobster or conch when in season. There is a large two story location with cool breezes and a view of the beach. The original location is still there where die hards believe the true experience can be had as you are seated on the sidewalk itself for the delicious meal that awaits. Don’t go too hungry, it’s a meal worth waiting for but the wait is a part of the history of the eatery.
