Where's the summer party at

Where's the summer party at

So you touched down in Jamaica, feeling the heat and the holiday energy and now you’re wondering “Where’s the party at?”

Summer is one of the liveliest times on the island.

You can expect more street dances in Kingston and more beach parties in Negril.

Every city brings something different to the table.

So, this guide tells you exactly where to find the nearest summer party in your destination.

Kingston

In Kingston, the calendar is filled with nightly music events at several lounges across the city.

There is also the Emancipendence celebrations held at the National Arena and National Stadium.

Montego Bay

Montego Bay heats up in July and early August.

You can expect events such as Reggae Sumfest in July, and then August brings Mobay Jerk & Food Festival and their other mini concerts that the entire family can enjoy.

Also, the city hosts a smaller Emancipendence concert in August.

Ocho Rios

If you're headed to Ocho Rios this summer, get a season band for Best Weekend Ever.

It's the hottest summer party held on that side of the island, often rivalling Dream Weekend hosted on the other side of the island.

Look out for Summer Playground Fantasy (SPF Weekend) in nearby St. Ann, usually held in late July.

Margaritaville in Ocho Rios also offers a special package every weekend for patrons.

Negril

Arguably, Negril owns the first week of August.

Dream Weekend takes over for five days of non-stop parties featuring top DJs, themed events like Igloo, Twisted Spiritz, and Daydreams.

You can also attend nightly dance parties at the Jungle Nightclub in Negril.

In the daytime, everyone is hanging out and doing cliff dives at Rick's Cafe

Port Antonio

If you're not into the big scene but still want good music and vibes, Port Antonio offers smaller parties and live Reggae shows.

Check out Geejam Hotel’s events calendar.

They host intimate events that may include special appearances by some of Jamaica's top vocalists.

Wherever you are in Jamaica, there's a summer party happening near you.
