Walk Good With a Taste of Walkerswood

If you’ve ever had the great luck to attend a food festival or event where Walkerswood Chef Simpson is creating masterpieces for your tastebuds you’ll swear you just savoured a small bit of heaven. Then it’s over and you leave wondering when you’ll ever taste anything that impossibly delicious again.

Luckily for all of us the Walkerswood range of delicious rubs, seasonings and sauces created to enhance your meals with explosive flavor are available in supermarkets and stores across Jamaica and internationally, so you don’t even have to fly all the way to the island for them. Even with the sauces though, how do you relive that divine culinary moment?  

While we can’t offer to send Chef Simpson home with you, Walkerswood does offer up some delicious recipes to try at home with their sauces and seasonings at so you can try to recreate every delicious bite and walk good knowing foodie heaven is at your fingertips. We asked Chef Simpson to share one of his can’t miss crowd favourites with us, so here is the recipe for all the juicy spicy goodness of his chicken …




  • 1 lb chicken thigh boneless
  • 1 oz walkerswood jerk seasoning
  • 2 oz walkerswood jerk BBQ
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1 teaspoon granulated onion
  • 1 teaspoon old Bay seasoning
  • 4 -3 inch honey brioche bun
  • Pinch salt and pepper


Wash and clean chicken and marinate with salt, pepper and Walkerswood Jerk Seasoning with all your dry ingredients, Put chicken to marinate in refrigerator for 1 hour, then grill on medium heat. when this is done in a small bowl pull your chicken in large pieces toss with BBQ sauce lightly place on top of your brioche slider bun and top with coleslaw.




  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 3 oz shredded carrot
  • 3 ounce shredded green apple
  • 2 oz mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar


Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl toss together lightly

This is a very quick and easy to make meal with simple ingredients … now stack those buns with your slider pulled jerk chicken and enjoy!
